2009: Spring Is Around The Corner

I’d like to wish all my readers a very Happy 2009!! I hope this year brings peace, good health and cheer in all our lives.

As we step into the new year, I’d like to take inspiration from nature. We know that after every cold winter, the spring is around the corner. Every dark cloud has a silver lining and every challenge provides new opportunities to those who are ready to grab them.

While it is quite evident that the first quarter of 2009 is going to be tough for us, but I am still very excited about the potential opportunities that I can see beyond that. I am very excited about the growth initiatives that we have launched. I believe that some of this investment will help us launch significant new businesses in the near future.

Times are difficult for us but perhaps, they are even harder for our customers. Our best opportunities are going to come by aligning ourselves with our customers. We need to work closely with our customers and think of new ways to tide over difficult times together. I am traveling to the US from Jan 6 – Jan 20 to meet many of our customers in person. If you have any suggestions on how we can serve our customers better, then please do write back.

Tough times will help build character and I am sure when the dust settles, we will have stories to tell our children on how we sniffed new opportunities when it was gloomy all around.
