LiNC’14 Wrap Up : 3 days of AWESOME
We are awesomely proud to have been the Platinum sponsor at LiNC 2014! This was the 4th year, CloudSquads – now part of Persistent Systems – has participated at the show and each year the event has grown in stature. LiNC has emerged as the pre-eminent gathering of industry thought-leaders, digital pioneers and social business experts to connect learn and define the future social customer experience. Congratulations Rob Tarkoff, Katy Keim and the entire Lithium team – you clearly got clout (better still Klout!). With a mature platform and strategic acquisitions, Lithium truly is well positioned to lead the way for the social customer experience – NOW!
The highlight for us was sponsoring the Hackathon because Persistent’s 7500+ community of engineers/hackers identify with the spirit – creating compelling digital experiences. The hackathon gave developers from all over the world a chance to step away from their day-to-day work and pursue a new idea to enhance their communities. The hackers produced ideas to integrate community across brand digital channels, enrich the user experience with media and make the community even easier to use. The three winners underscored the breadth of ideas the hackathon participants created. The winner developed a Google calendar integration into Lithium Ideas, allowing users to manage ideation milestones via Google calendar. The two runners up featured a content widget for external sites that allowed knowledge base authors to identify and use community content in the development of knowledge base articles, as well as another contextual widget to embed in content pages, thus allowing users to post questions and comments straight from the product page into the community.
With Todd Lilienthal, Director of Digital Strategy at K2 and the winner of 2014 Lithy award for Best Community Design
Finally, it was great to see EIGHT of our customers being part of the Lithy nominations and one of our customers – K2 – win the Best Community Design. We also enjoyed meeting our existing customers along with new and eager Lithium customers who are embarking on their Social Customer Experience journey with Lithium. We intend to continue to shape it. Our goal is to help customers operationalize Social in a simple way and we echoed that perspective with our B2B track. Glad that it was well received. (OK – we got a few requests for a copy of the slides 🙂 – They can be found here as well.)
All in all – 3 days of AWESOME that will stay with us until next time!
