Persistent Systems has pledged over $3M globally to help organizations as they navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.
COVID-19 relief work is been carried out in India, USA, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Israel and Canada. In India we have worked in 4 states- Maharashtra, Karnataka, Hyderabad and Goa, where Persistent has presence. Supported 11956 families, 29500 individual beneficiaries, reaching out to migrant labourers, tribal population, sex workers, rag pickers through 17 NGOs and various government departments for distribution of Food kits. Supported for 6299 PPE kits for doctors in Government hospitals and blood bank, 2000 PPE kits for waste pickers, 1 ventilator and 6 thermometers, 1 Covid testing, 3 disinfection chambers at Government hospital and Police Commissionerate. 47 community pockets covering 4,50,000 population was covered under a disinfection program, carried out twice in a day in contaminated zone.
In addition to the work of The Persistent Foundation in India and Asia, almost $1/2 Million has been distributed to-date to charities in North America impacted by and helping those affected by the crisis. Americares is providing critically needed protective gear, training and emotional support for health workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. The health-focused relief and development organization is responding to the pandemic in 14 countries, and in the U.S. alone, Americares has delivered more than 120 tons of protective supplies, including 2.3 million masks to health facilities in 49 states, the District of Columbia and three U.S.

The Ottawa Food Bank provides fresh and non-perishable food, as well as supplies such as diapers, toiletries, and cleaning supplies to its network of over 100 emergency food programs across the city.

At Persistent Malaysia was allocated USD25,000 as donation to support Malaysia’s COVID-19 relief efforts. 2 organizations in Malaysia were identified to donate to, which are Mercy (Medical Relief Society Malaysia) and NADMA (The National Disaster Management Agency). The handover ceremony to NADMA was held on 1st July 2020 at Office of the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Special Functions) at Putrajaya. The cheque was received by Yb Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Bin Md Yusof, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (special tasks).
CANIETI is a non-profit organization that seeks to defend the interests of member companies, as well as their development in Mexico; CANIETI Chapter West has been a key actor in the current health contingency, mainly seeking the well-being and health of the collaborators of the member companies, through collaborative work with the authorities of the 3 levels of government, seeking to help preserve the jobs of the industry and its sustainability.
The Food Bank of Guadalajara is a non-profit organization, established in 1991 and whose mission is “To generate access to decent food for people in vulnerable situations in our community.
