In India we worked in the four states we have a presence in – Maharashtra, Karnataka, Hyderabad and Goa. We were able to provide food kits to almost 12,000 families and 30,000 individuals with some of the most challenging economic needs, working through 17 NGOs and various government departments.
Other relief efforts included:
- Over 6,000 PPE kits for doctors in hospitals and blood banks.
- 2,000 PPE kits for waste pickers.
- A ventilator, thermometers, COVID testing kits and disinfection chambers for a public hospital and the police.
- A twice daily disinfection program to protect a population of 450,000.
In addition to the work of The Persistent Foundation in India and Asia, almost $1/2 Million has been distributed to-date to charities in North America impacted by and helping those affected by the crisis. We feel strongly about the communities where we are, and we’re humbled to be able to help how we can. We encourage everyone to donate to the organizations below.
