Persistent and IUCAA look up at the stars to solve problems on Earth
“The fault is not in our stars…” Ajit Kembhavi, Professor Emeritus at IUCAA in Pune, India explains just how profound these words by Julius Caesar are! Of course that shouldn’t be surprising as India has been a leader in astronomy for some 5,000 years! What we are learning about space from developments like the Virtual Observatory is having profound impacts on an incredible array of real world applications such as health sciences, traffic, national language processing… all things that are bettering human development here on Earth. We at Persistent couldn’t be more proud to be partners in discovery with such visionaries like Professor Kembhavi and IUCAA.
