Donation is part of the company’s global Covid-19 fund to help organizations
Santa Clara, Calif.;
Persistent Systems (BSE and NSE: Persistent), to-date has donated almost $1/2 Million to charities in North America impacted by and helping those affected by the COVID-19 epidemic. This is part of the company’s $3M+ pledge to help organizations around the globe as they navigate the pandemic.
Persistent today announced that it is partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) through a $250,000 donation, making it a Visionary Partner of the organization. This gift will help RMHC provide comfort, support and vital resources to families with ill or injured children in 65 countries and regions around the world.
RMHC enables, facilitates, and supports family-centered care through three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, the Ronald McDonald Family Room and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. RMHC programs help families cope better and focus on the needs of their sick child because they have support from family members, RMHC program staff, volunteers, and shared experiences with other families. The donation from Persistent will help RMHC provide families with sick children what they need most – each other.
Sheila Musolino, President and CEO of RMHC
“We are grateful to our partners at Persistent, who even in times of crisis, understand the crucial work we are doing for children and their families across the world. In addition to donating vital monetary funds, Persistent’s broader vision for our partnership will provide the opportunity to amplify our impact and drive awareness of our mission.”
Chris O’Connor, CEO of Persistent
“Persistent cares deeply about our communities and we can’t think of a better organization that represents that spirit of deep community involvement like Ronald McDonald House Charities. We don’t just serve clients, we have families and friends in these communities who have been personally impacted by the work RMHC does. Persistent has a long history of commitment to social responsibility throughout the world. Given the impact we’ve seen here in North America we knew we had to provide help to organizations like RHMC that are on the ground providing much needed assistance to people of all kinds affected by this terrible situation.”
