Job location: Santa Clara, CA and unanticipated client sites across the US. Must be willing to travel and/or relocate domestically.
Job duration: Permanent position, Full time, Mon – Fri, 40 hours per week
Persistent Systems, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Solution Architect II. Responsible for analyzing business requirements and data mapping for new enhancements and new project requirements. Creating Functional Specification Document (FSD), Reviewing the FSD with technology and business team. Incorporating the feedback and routing it for Project Management Office (PMO) approval. Developing overall technical approach to design the solution and review with the team to identify any risk. Involved in Data flow design and documentation of new process flow. Developing the Teradata tables, ETL Views, procedures and functions using the Teradata SQL assistance. Developing Auto sys jobs using the scheduling tool to execute the batch process. Performing unit testing of the developed code and the batch process creating the deployment and back out game plan for code deployment to the higher environment. Creating the test plan, test case documentation for testing the code and functionality. Working with Business Analyst team to support UAT testing and to obtain the sign off.
Requires Bachelor’s Degree or higher (foreign equivalent acceptable) in Computer Science, Engineering Management or a related IT field and 2 years of experience working with: Teradata, Informatica, Auto sys and Unix shell scripting. Travel required 50%+. Will work at various unanticipated locations throughout the US for long term projects.
