OutSystems Mobile App for Disaster Recovery Program
Persistent Systems recently completed a solution deployment for one of the top 50 CPA firms offering industry-focused accounting and Government services. The expected outcomes from the project were to,
- Leverage OutSystems technology to build multiple mobile apps for State Government Agencies to support Disaster recovery programs
- Build a Mobile/Tablet responsive native application with Offline capabilities
- Build a reusable application code to implement mobile apps for multiple states
With a challenging timeline in place, Persistent worked in collaboration with the customer’s data team to deliver fast by learning their data and supporting them in their development.
The customer quickly went from having no system in place to having a web-based portal to cater to users in addition to deploying exclusive iOS and Android Apps with offline capabilities. These were further supported by multilingual content for a broader reach.
The lack of defined workflows and slow, manual processes of data capturing were met with defined and digitized workflows. This meant better user navigation and interfaces for ease of data processing including creation, capture documents, validations and correction of disaster victim applications. Also, improved capturing authorizations by digital signatures from disaster victims and capturing additional documents from the IRS for income verification if needed. Overall, it included reducing paper applications and document copies by capturing information and documents digitally within apps. This led to a drastic shortening of processing time from days to hours.
The business challenges of low data integrity and discrete systems were resolved via integrations with microblink for identity verification and OneSignal for notifications.
This tailor-made solution, built on OutSystems, helped the client capitalize on their data, streamline processes and enjoy the advantages of being a digitally transformed organization, thereby becoming future-proof!
