Strict TSA Timelines & Cyber Resilience Demands Created Urgency for Transformation
As the client separated from its parent organization, it had to meet strict TSA (Transition Service Agreement) timelines while building independent IT support capabilities. The existing environment carried high technical debt, and the client needed to migrate endpoints to a new domain without disrupting business operations.
Cyber and system resilience were also critical priorities. The client’s technology environment included approximately 353 physical servers, 2,750 endpoints, 2,600 TB of storage and 247 network devices, making the shift even more complex. At the same time, the organization needed to reduce overall operational IT spend while creating a modern operating model that could support future scale.
Establishing Greenfield Infrastructure & Security Services for Independent Operations
Persistent designed and implemented greenfield infrastructure and security services for the newly carved-out entity. The engagement covered Service Desk, end-user computing, M365, network and security, and service management towers, delivered through a dedicated integrated IT managed services model.
The solution architecture was cloud-first and automation-led, built using a modern technology stack across infrastructure and security. Persistent also enabled smooth integration of ITSM (IT Service Management) and monitoring platforms to support auto-ticketing and assignment, helping streamline service operations from the start.
During the TSA period, Persistent provided interim support to maintain continuity while the client transitioned away from parent-company dependencies. This support help to refine ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes and SLA methodologies to improve governance, accountability and service consistency across the new IT operating model.
PiOps & Automation Accelerators Reduced Execution Risk
Persistent’s Intelligent Operations (PiOps) framework served as a key differentiator by increasing efficiency, improving performance, and streamlining operations. To accelerate execution, the team used pre-canned SOPs and runbooks to standardize operations and improve speed of delivery.
Additional accelerators included joiners-movers-leavers automation and self-service automation through Nexthink and pre-configured scripts, helping reduce manual effort and improve operational responsiveness.
