As Head of Internal Audit, Anuja is responsible for providing an independent assurance for compliance and financial operations of Persistent global entities to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. She is a member of the Ethics Committee of Persistent and the single point of contact for third-party grievances and reporting of ethical misconduct issues. Anuja is also responsible for providing management assurance on completeness and reliability of internal financial controls across all key business processes.
Anuja has over 17 years of experience in internal audit, global finance management, business ethics and forensic investigations. She serves on the Board of Governance of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Pune division and is also a member of the Internal Audit Committee of the Bombay Chartered Accountants Society (BCAS). She is also associated with the prestigious Symbiosis Institute for mentoring and selection of students for their management program in Banking & Finance.
Prior to Persistent, Anuja has held senior positions in Internal Audit and Management Consulting and Advisory with Allscripts Healthcare, Suzlon Energy and JCSS Consulting. Anuja holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India as well as Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Anuja brings in a deep understanding of business processes, internal controls, corporate ethics and corporate governance. She is passionate about engaging with stakeholders to help foster control consciousness through management assurance as well as advisory and business partnership roles.
Anuja is married to Jayant and they have a son.
