Why mastering the lifecycle of business and technology is important to be a software driven business
We have a very robust technology landscape ahead of us. What we are today calling digital is a continuous transformation of enterprises over time and across many disruptive technologies that are shaping these transformations. For an enterprise then, it becomes more important to master the lifecycle of business and technology. People must think beyond technology or business or which one comes first. Instead, they need to think how to master the lifecycle of technology adoption and disruption for the business.
Optimism about the future of IT Services
The overall theme that we find is that the effort for the same work is going down. If you look broader and at the changes that are coming in, the amount of work has gone up. I see a rapid change in the market and what the market wants to buy from people like us.
Personal advice for today’s IT professionals
With smaller or shrinking project sizes, you need fewer managers. The number of supervisors are going down, even as the hands-on people are getting more and more. So, staying hands on and keeping track of the new stuff is the advice I would give to anybody who wants to succeed in the IT business.
