What is Network API?

The Network API offers tools for making HTTP or HTTPS network calls. With the help of the Network API, your app may make Internet-based requests for data from distant locations like your data servers.

The Networking API v2.0 is a RESTful HTTP service that makes use of all parts of the HTTP protocol, such as methods, URIs, and media types. Providers can exploit current protocol capabilities like as caching, persistent connections, and content compression.
